Get Pre-Approved
A pre-approval is a letter from the lender verifying your finances. This letter tells us how much you can afford, and sets your buying budget. A pre-approval letter shows the sellers you are serious, and could give you a leg up with competing buyers.
Find a Trustworthy Agent
Do your research and sign with an agent that has extensive selling experience. You want someone who knows all the ins and outs of the buying process.
Determine Wants/Needs
Talk with your Realtor about what you absolutely NEED for your home, things you WANT, and things you DO NOT want for your home.
Research Neighborhoods and Communities
When buying a home you want to ensure your property is located in an area that works best for your needs/wants. It a good idea to consider future plans, work commute, education, safety, and any interests/hobbies you my have.
Shop for Your Dream Home
Once you have you have decided on wants/needs and a general area, your agent can create a personalized list of available homes within your budget.
Closing
Once the seller has accepted your offer, we can start preparing for closing. Finalizing loan documents, scheduling an appraisal, inspections and a final walk through. During closing there will be lots of confusing documents, and signatures. With the excitement of buying a new home, things tend to be over looked. That is why it's so important to partner with a trusted agent.
Move in
Pick up the keys to your new home and call your movers!
